uvLayer is a small Adobe AIR application that allows you to search, view, and organize web videos on your desktop and share them with your family and friends. It enables you to share your videos directly by dragging and dropping them to your contacts in an instant-messenger-like user interface. The video will appear on their desktop just an e-mail in the inbox. Also, if your friends are online, you can see what they are watching by simply hoping over them. What is more, you can also share entire sets full of Web videos via URL as well as syndicate these Webtops to both your uvLayer buddies, and your Facebook friends. You can also create a group of videos, called a “stack,” to have all videos in one place. In each stack and the search box there's a new menu options that include copy the URL, play the group, copy the embed code, among others. The program also works with AIM and Google’s Talk, but your friends had to be signed into both uvLayer and their chat client in order to accept and share videos. It features a simple and intuitive user interface, which will make this task even easier. In short, uvLayer is an excellent application to search for videos in the two of the greatest video hosting sites (YouTube and Truveo), with the ability of delivering an fast and accurate results.
